Our Approach
At Speak Listen Learn, we often work with children and families over long periods—sometimes for many years. We understand the importance of aligning with families in both approach and goals to ensure successful outcomes.
Our practice is rooted in evidence-based assessments and interventions that are individualised and goal-focused. This includes staying current with research, involving families and children in the goal-setting process, regularly reviewing progress, and providing clear, practical recommendations.
Therapy at Speak Listen Learn is tailored to each child’s goals, needs, and interests. Clinic sessions are designed to engage children in fun and meaningful ways, while empowering families with strategies to carry over therapy at home. We prioritise being flexible, approachable, and relatable, building trust and connection with each family we support.
We take a strengths-based, sensory-friendly, and affirming approach when working with neurodivergent children and young people. You can read more about our approach to neurodivergence here.
We recognise that supporting children means supporting families, too. Family dynamics can be complex, especially when disability, neurodivergence, or unique learning profiles are involved. Parenting can be deeply rewarding but also challenging. We strive to work respectfully and collaboratively with families, partnering with you to guide, support, and empower you in supporting your child.
Our Clinic Space
Our purpose-built clinic in Frenchs Forest has been thoughtfully designed to support children and families in a warm, calm, and welcoming environment. We offer a large variety of engaging therapy resources and a fully equipped sensory gym to support movement, regulation, and play-based learning.
Our clinic is child and family-friendly, with spaces that cater to a range of sensory and developmental needs. We have easy access for prams and mobility needs, as well as convenient on-site parking to make your visit as stress-free as possible.
Speak Listen Learn is also home to an experienced occupational therapist and feeding therapist, with psychology and physiotherapy services located right next door, making it easy for families to access holistic, coordinated care in one place.
